Antique Porcelain Hand-Painted Porcelain Tea Set

Item Details

An antique English hand-painted porcelain tea set circa 1840. This fourteen piece set includes a teapot and plate, and six teacups and saucers. The teapot has a lid with a conical center and flat brim, a London-shaped handle, and a slightly segmented body. These pieces have an underglaze cobalt blue ground accented by gilded foliate decoration and well painted enameled pink roses. Several pieces are marked ‘1216’ which is the pattern number.

Condition

- some wear to undersides of each; saucers and plate have some losses to painted designs in the center.
