An George Henshaw tiger oak armchair. It features a square backrest with rounded corners, two high, rectangular armrests with slat and gusset supports, a square seat with a scalloped apron, four legs, and a box stretcher. The backrest and seat are lightly padded and covered with textured cream tone upholstery with a faint pink and green floral pattern, tan lacing, and brass brad trim. Piece has a brown finish. Henshaw was an English cabinetmaker who founded his furniture company in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1847.
