A limited offset lithograph on paper after an original painting by John McCray. Titled The Schooner Yacht America, this depicting the three-sail ship competing in the Royal Yacht Squadron’s first regatta around the Isle of Wight in 1851, a race later known as the ’America’s Cup’ after the victorious boat. It is titled and signed in plate below, and labeled ‘official commemorative print for the 1980 America’s Cup Defense’. It is numbered 853 out of an edition of 950 in the lower left, and signed by hand in the lower right. It is presented matted, under glass, in a wooden frame that is wired for hanging.
