A handwoven Ghandi Persian style area rug.The rug features a central diamond medallion in a palette of deep lavender, pink, cream, and black that sits on top of a deep red field. The field is populated by floral palmettes in a complementary palette with cream colored floral spandrels The field is enclosed by a compound turtle border along the primary border and a carnation pattern along the guard border. It has an overcast edge, a wool fringe, and is tagged to the back ‘Ghandi, made in Iran, hand-woven Persian rugs’.
