Antique French Brass and Marble Top Scale Circa 1895-1910

Item Details

An antique scale. This marble and brass scale was likely used in a retail setting on a counter top. The piece was produced in Lyon and features two brass plates above a white marble top. The scales works are hidden with a wooden case, a brass display on the front reads the weight via the use of arrows. An impressed ‘Balancerie Centrale Lyon’ can be found impressed on the brass trays.
