Item Details
A Chinese jianzhi (剪纸) cut paper illustration. The piece depicts a peacock surrounded by bamboo. The work is rendered with delicately cut red paper against a field of white. The unsigned piece is matted in black and red and presented under glass in a red wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso. The item comes with a note stating that the work originates from Shanghai.
