Pierced German Silver Plate Tray

Item Details

A silver plated German pierced dish. The piece was produced with reticulated sides having rose blossom garlands, medallions with cherubs, with foliate swags on the rims and a repousse center with a rural scene. The dish was fashioned from copper with a silver plating. An impressed ‘Germany’ can be found on the underside.

Condition

- a small amount of verdigris has formed on the bottom of the tray; some minor surface wear with faint markings and tarnishing.
