"Paul Morphy House" Original Aquatint by Louis Oscar Griffith
Item Details
An original aquatint by listed Indiana artist Louis Oscar Griffith. L. O. Griffith (1875-1956) was known for his depictions of rural Brown County, Indiana as well as other parts of the country. This example depicts a 19th century scene on a busy street in New Orleans and is titled ‘Paul Morphy House.’ It is pencil-signed by the artist to lower right and marked No. 17.
