A mid-century reproduction lithograph print on paper after three nearly identical 1914-23 works by well-listed Russian-French artist Marc Chagall (1887-1985) titled The Praying Jew and Der Jude in Schwarz-Weiss. The image depicts the Rabbi of Vitebsk (Belarus) in muted hues of black, white, brown, red, grey and blue. The print is signed in plate to the lower right, matted in off-white and presented under glass in a beveled wooden frame with wire to the back for hanging. Condition
- some toning and foxing to paper and mat with age; frame has surface scratches and nicks throughout; staining and water damage to frame verso; gallery sticker to frame backing.
