A handwoven Mexican flat weave pictorial area rug. It features a village near a body of water with domed and flat roofed buildings, grassy areas and sandy areas, palm trees, women carrying water jugs on their heads, men in various colored boats holding their sails with their hands, and perched or flying birds. The palette features red, rust, browns, maize and gold, cream, white, grass green, palm frond green, and black. It has a natural warp hand tied fringe to either end and is unmarked to the reverse.
