Ornately Carved Walnut Victorian Chair

An ornately carved walnut Victorian chair, circa mid to late 19th century. This chair has a dark walnut finish, carved crest rail with a floral bouquet and acanthus leaf motif, curved arms with carved bellflowers terminating in carved, scrolled acanthus leaves, and a carved skirt which matches the crest motif. It is upholstered with a green and blue floral fabric and rests on cabriole legs with acanthus knees and scrolled stretchers. This chair would have likely been used in a church.
