A beautiful lot of Alvin sterling silver flatware, in the ‘Chapel Bells’ pattern, which features short side borders of laurel leaves at the handle base. A simple but elegant pattern. This lot consists of 53 total pieces (8 place settings), that includes (8) – table knives with sterling blades, (8) dinner forks (13.00 troy ounce appx.), (8) salad forks (10.24 troy ounce appx.), (8) teaspoons (6.453 troy ounce appx.), (8) soup spoons (9.24 troy ounce appx.), (8) butter spreaders (6.598 troy ounce appx.), (1) meat fork with stainless tines, (1) carving knife with stainless blade, (1) small serving spoon (0.97 troy ounce appx.), (1) seafood fork (0.555 troy ounce appx.), and (1) large butter knife (1.0755 troy ounce appx.). A nice cherry finish wood storage box is included. All sterling pieces are marked Alvin Sterling Pat. 1939 to the back of each handle. Total approximate weight of all sterling pieces, (with exception of the dinner knives, meat fork, and carving knife) = 48.136 troy ounce
