A watercolor painting by artist Chong Rwen Kao, titled Spring Along the River. This painting features a loose depiction of two people overlooking a vast waterscape with rolling mountains and pagodas surrounded by lush foliage to the distance. To the top left corner of the composition are painted Japanese characters and a red stamp. The painting is presented under glass in a stained natural wooden frame. To the verso is an affixed sawtooth bracket for hanging. The backing board can be removed to reveal a handwritten tag for the piece, which includes its date (1949), as well as vintage stamps found to the margins.

- backing board has water stains throughout; painting is buckled; frame has nicks and scratches throughout; wear to frame verso.
