A set of two circa 1970s limited edition color lithograph prints on paper by American artist William Ray “Bill” McCauley (1931-1989). The untitled works depict children in Victorian-era attire, rendered in muted hues of brown, yellow and orange. Both are signed in graphite to the lower right. Featured is an image of a boy in a brimmed hat; it is noted as ’Artist’s Copy’ in graphite to the lower left. Also featured is a print depicting a girl with her hair tied back in a large bow; it is numbered 100/200 in graphite to the lower left. Both prints are matted in brown and presented under glass in silver tone metal frames, with sawtooth hangers affixed to the verso of each. Condition
- surface scratching and edge wear to frames; toning to paper and mats; some edge wear to mat, with yellow paper visible to lower right of girl print; loose joints to frames; frames would benefit from cleaning; gallery stickers affixed to frame backings.
