A limited edition serigraph on paper title The Interior (With Stan and Ollie) by listed American artist Robert Burkert (b. 1930). Depicted is the interior of a room filled with old advertising scenes, magazine cut outs, an erotic nude and other popular culture items in the Pop art style. The work appears to have been influenced by one of the most widely recognized pop artist, Richard Hamilton (1922-2011). The work includes an image of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy to the right. Signed to the lower right in graphite, titled to the lower left, and numbered edition 26 of 40 to the lower center. Presented under glass, housed in an aluminum frame.
Condition
- scratches and marks to the frame throughout; edge of the glass is chipped and cracked to the lower left and lower right.
