1944 Souvenir Bullet Letter Opener
Item Details
A 1944 souvenir letter opener. This piece features a curved blade etched ‘New Guinea, 1944’ to one side and a personal engraving to the other. The handle is an Australian .303 inch (7.7 caliber) ammunition round. The headstamp of the cartridge case is ‘1942 MF VII’.
Condition
- light tarnish throughout; some surface scratches; personal engraving to blade.
