A lapis lazuli world globe with semi-precious gemstone inlays. The majority of the world globe consists of lapis lazuli with the counties represented with semi-precious gemstone inlays such as mother-of-pearl, African jade, tiger’s eye, abalone, jasper, turquoise, unakite, purple quartz, onyx, among others. The globe is also adorned with very thin strips of brass for the latitude and longitude lines. The globe is affixed to a brass floor stand featuring a compass on the lower decorative stretcher and stands upon three cabriole legs.
