A copper and brass military bugle made by Henry Potter & Co., London, England. The bugle is a number ‘2’ and is stamped on the bell with information about the maker and a date, 1941. Henry Potter & Co. was established in 1810 and has for many years produced specialized military instruments, including the large sterling silver drums used by the Household Cavalry mounted drummers. The premises were located at 3638 West Street, Charing Cross Road, London, when this bugle was produced.
