A Chinese hand-painted Satsuma style vase with handle. The vase has raised decoration depicting elegant Japanese women embellished with moriage decoration. The vase sits on a round base and has a handle at the top. This pottery is styled after the Japanese earthenware style originally made in the Satsuma region of Japan. Marked to the underside ‘Hand Painted, Royal Satsuma’ alongside ‘Product of China’ in Chinese.

Condition

Paint is uneven in a few spots.
