An Art Nouveau Royal Nishiki Nippon ceramic vase. It features a classic design with double handles at the top and a hand painted floral and butterfly motif in vibrant hues against a soft gray-blue background. The underside is stamped with a green ‘Royal Nishiki Nippon’ hallmark, which means it was made for the domestic Japanese market since 1906. It is also marked ‘Hand Painted’ in blue with an illegible numbering system.
