Ornate Carved Wall Mirror With Birds

Item Details

A rectangular wall mirror with carved bird motif. This large wall mirror features ornate deep relief cresting to the top rail and a pierced scrolled border to either side. It appears to be constructed of both wood and cast gesso with an antique copper-tone finish. It hangs by a wire to the verso.

Condition

– to fair. Damage to the tail of the upper left bird, loose scrollwork to left edge; hairline cracks. The mirror is in good condition.
