Late 1800s Victorian Birch Fireplace Mantel With Hand Carved Details

An antique Victorian style fireplace mantle comprised of solid birch, circa the late 1800s, with various hand carved accents throughout, including scroll and acanthus leaf motifs that have been stained a dark brown color. This mantle features a large oval frame for a mirror along the top with carved candle holders mounted on each side. There is an intricate carving directly under the mantle with carved columns also decorating each side.

Condition

- Mirror is missing. Cracking and breaks to the frame that would hold the mirror. Nicks and scratches throughout. Some discoloration.
