Vintage Brass Coal Scuttle

Item Details

A brass coal scuttle. This decorative storage container was used to hold coal for convenient transfer to an indoor coal-fired stove or heater. This example with a brass exterior has a tin bin with handles inside. Decorative French style trim graces the top and a pair of ring handles can be found on either side of the hammered brass scuttle.

Condition

- some minor surface wear with faint markings and tarnishing.
