A color lithograph print on paper titled Le Bateau (The Boat) after and original paper-cut by celebrated French painter Henri Matisse (1869-1954). The print is based on a paper-cut from 1953 by Matisse and one of his last works in his lifetime. The original is composed of pieces of paper cut out of sheets painted with gouache. Depicted is an abstract form boat. To the verso is a gallery label and artist biography. The work is presented under acrylic glass with a cloth wrapped mat and gold liner, and housed in a decorative gold-toned frame. Please, not work has been framed in a horizontal orientation, however, the piece should be viewed vertically.
