Item Details
An antique writing box. The box is made of oak or other wood with a mellow patina. The lid is inlaid with brass, and has an oval floral motif. The interior is lined with red velveteen fabric and has divided compartments containing ink bottles, an oblong container of what appears to be sealing wax, a mother-of-pearl folder, and more.

- box has broken hinge; wear to decorative inlay
- no key
- lining is beginning to separate
- wear to all accessories inside
