Art Deco Epiphone Electar Model M Lap Steel Guitar
Item Details
An Epiphone Electar Model M lap steel guitar; originally furnished with six strings with corresponding silver tone metal tuning keys, the previous owner made the addition of a seventh string with a corresponding gold tone Grover brand metal tuning key. The guitar frets are marked with multi-color placement dots. The black tone guitar body features a subtle Art Deco style design and three octagonal adjustment knobs. The headstock is marked to the face ‘Epiphone Electar;’ the back of the body is marked ‘patened, licensed by Miessner Inventions, Inc.’ The guitar is housed in a vintage rectangular case, upholstered to the interior with purple tone velvet like cloth, and a brown tone exterior vinyl covering.
Condition
- consistent with age and use; broken strings, nicks and chips to neck, and wear and deterioration to leather of case handle. Untested.
