An image of a seated Native American man paying homage to a peace pipe with a steer skull at his feet. Rendered on a sheet of plate glass and creating the image with applied gold leaf this work is signed by the artist, Jack White. In 1976 Jack White, who resided In New Braunfels during this time, was named The Official Artist Of Texas by the Texas Poet Laureate, State Musician and State Artist Committee. White invented the process of putting small sheets of gold leaf on the reverse side of glass In 1970, calling it Echrusoes or Gold Leaf Art. White stopped producing this type of art in 1978. Unframed, this item is very fragile.
