Elizabeth Farren was an Irish actress who later became the Countess of Derby and was at the height of her career when this portrait was originally created. The print is signed in plate on the lower right E. Jowett and embossed ‘KI’ on the lower left. The piece is matted, under glass, and set in black and gilt wood frame
