A Governor Winthrop-style block front drop front desk. Mixed wood constructed with dark walnut finish and ribbon striped veneers. It features a fall front that opens to reveal a fitted interior containing letter slots, short drawers and a shell motif prospect door that is flanked with small columns on each side with concealed pull-out compartments for hiding valuables. The lower case accommodation three dovetail joined serpentine shaped drawers with brass bail pulls and rests on claw feet.
