An oil painting on canvas by Jose Pico (Spanish, 1904 – 1991) titled Romancero. A large figurative oil of a young man, shown seated and dressed in a costume of the Commedia dell’arte and holding a guitar festooned with blue ribbons. A delicate character study of strong psychological penetration by this well-listed Spanish artist. The painting is titled, signed and dated 1964 in the lower left corner and is not framed. The piece is additionally signed on the verso.
