George W. Bohde Original 1890 Etching
Item Details
An original 1890 etching in black ink on ivory wove paper by listed American landscape artist George W. Bohde (19th century). The print depicts a rural landscape. A wide, bright stream curves through a grassy landscape, and a squat cottage sits along the left bank of the water, surrounded by a grove of tall trees. Delicate linework adds layers of texture across the print. The print is signed, dated, and labeled ‘NY’ in-plate to the lower left. The print is presented behind antique hand-rolled glass in a natural-stained wooden frame with a thin strip of gold tone inner trim. A hanging wire is attached to the verso for hanging.
