W. Yazzie "Hemis" Kachina Doll

A Navajo reproduction of a Hopi ‘Hemis’ kachina doll figurine, signed W. Yazzie to the verso. This doll is carved of wood and dressed in suede, fur, and feathers. It holds a traditional rattle and feather fan. A tag is attached to the leg which reads ‘Hemis: This very colorful doll is very graceful, rhythmic and represents happiness brought from a successful harvest.’ The verso reads ‘Hemis, 429,976, W. Yazzie.’
