Filipino Igorot and Ifugao Bakunawa Carved Wood Masks

A pair of Filipino Igorot and Ifugao Bakunawa carved wood tribal masks. These masks were traditionally made in the Philippines. The Igorot mask features a small carved dragon head at center, multiple cut-out eyes, and a wide mouth with sharp, pointed teeth. It is marked with a sticker reading ‘Made in Philippines’. The Ifugao Bakunawa mask features pointed teeth and horns and is unmarked.
