1874 Jacobus F. Brugman Oil Painting on Board of a Genre Scene
Item Details
An oil painting on board of a genre scene, attributed to listed Dutch painter Jacobus Franciscus Brugman (1830-1898). This painting depicts a pair of figures standing at the door of a thatched-roof house, a green field visible in the background. The painterly work is captured in an earth tone palette and diffused natural light, and is signed and dated ‘Jac F Brugman 74’ to the lower left corner. It is presented in a black and gold tone frame with a wire to the verso for hanging.

- fair; crazing throughout; some paint loss to roof of house.
