A Franklin Mint proof coin set comemorating the first national coinage of Barbados. The set includes denominations of ten dollars, five dollars, two dollars, one dollar, twenty five cents, ten cents, five cents and one cent all contained in a display case. It comes with an informational card and certificate of authenticity from The Franklin Mint. The ten dollar coin is sterling silver (92.5% silver, 7.5% copper) with a weight of 37.9 grams and the five dollar coin is coin silver (80% silver, 20% copper) with a weight of 31.1 grams. The other coins are copper-nickel except the five cent which is brass and the one cent which is bronze. The total mintage was 97,000 proof sets.
