An original mixed media watercolor, acrylic, and ink painting on paper by contemporary American artist Phoebe DeVaughn (Georgia), titled Madam Faye – Lily, GA. The painting depicts a quaint rural street scene, drawn in loose, fluid fields of watercolor with gestural thin black outlines and accents. A sign that seems to be for a fortune teller named Madam Faye stands in the foreground. The painting is signed in black to the lower right, and a tag to the verso gives information about the artist. A First Place ribbon from the First Georgia National Fair is attached to the verso. The painting is triple-matted in ivory, brown, and navy and is presented behind glass in a natural-stained wooden frame with a hanging wire.
