An oil painting on canvas titled Mediterranean on My Mind by Cincinnati-based artist Todd Roe. This work features a perspective focused on a ceramic pot filled with pink flowers, set on the corner of an enclosed terrace. Behind the flower pot is the calm blue water of the sea filling the background and coastal rock formations present to the upper left. The painting is signed ‘Roe’ to the lower right and the title is written on masking tape adhered to the verso. It is displayed in a simple black composite wood frame.
Todd Roe is a self-taught impressionistic artist. His work is inspired by his extensive European travels, his summers in Northern Michigan, and the local charm of his hometown Cincinnati. He has been a long-time resident of the Pendleton Art Center and has sold his work through various galleries, juried art shows, and private exhibitions.
