A Navajo sanding painting vessel by Berta Yazzie titled Sun & Eagle. It features a squat, circular, earthen bowl with a narrow opening, around which is depicted dancers in ritual dress flanking a stylized sun above them and a stylized eagle below them. The underside features a linear scrolling pattern and a hand written note explaining the symbolism of the piece. Hand signed by the artist and dated October 23rd, 2005.
