Evelyn L. Liner Reverse Lucite Painting "Colors #14"

An original reverse lucite acrylic painting titled Colors #14 by contemporary artist Evelyn L. Liner, dated 1979. This piece depicts a multicolor scene comprised of adjacent blocks of color rendered in varying geometric shapes within gray outlines. This painting is signed and dated by the artist to the upper left corner on the plexiglass. Presented in lucite frame fabricated onto the painting itself. The title and glass cleaning instructions are inscribed to the verso.
Evelyn L. Liner received her artistic training from the University of Cincinnati. Liner typically creates reverse glass paintings, rendered in vibrant colors. Her work has been accepted into a number of juried shows including the Bluegrass Open in Louisville, Kentucky, Summerfair, Cincinnati, Ohio, and the Dayton Museum Gallery Show. Along with juried shows, Liner’s work has been on display at several Cincinnati area institutions such as: Closson’s Gallery; Miller Gallery; and Malton Gallery.
