G. E. Mullan Offset Lithographs After Southwestern Portraiture
Item Details
A pair of offset lithographs by G. E. Mullan of Southwestern portraiture. These two prints on paper include El Abrazo Que Sana, which depicts a stylized mother embracing her two children, as well as a print of a woman sitting on an unrolled rug brushing her hair. Both subjects are rendered with elongated forms accented with culture-specific clothing that contains native patterning to the surface. An in plate signature is seen to the lower right corner of the composition. Each print is placed under glass beneath dual-layered matting in a wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- scuffing to corners of frame; backing paper is wrinkled and punctured; spider web to backing paper at edges.
