An oil painting on canvas of an abstract color field composition by renowned contemporary artist Tom Levine (American, b.1945). This composition features a canvas bisected into two large layered color fields with grayish blue on the left half and beige on the right half. The halves are separated by a faint red line partially revealed under the layered colors. The piece is signed in black to the verso.
Levine was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, and has painted since a young boy. His abstract and figurative work can be found in museum collections, as well as numerous corporate collections. Levine received a BA in English and Business from Miami University, a Master’s in Psychology and Communications from the University of Denver, and an M.F.A. in Art History from the University of Cincinnati.
