1920s Lyon and Healy "Camp Uke" Ukulele

A 1920s Lyon and Healy ‘Camp Uke’ ukulele. This ukulele was produced by Lyon and Healy in the early 1920s with a wood frame, gold tone leaf ornamentation to the body, and marked ‘Camp Uke’ to its headstock. This Camp Uke model was a design that meshed elements of a banjo, featuring no sound hole at the front, but rather includes a donut-shaped turned resonator to its back. The back of this ukulele is also marked ‘No 1867’ and features a large number of personal engravings.
