This painting depicts an abstract waterfront with beach and orange silhouettes of spruces trees present in the background. The color palette references the natural hues of autumn with gold tone flecks of color to the lower right. Signed with the artist initials ‘E.M.’ to the lower right in paint and is presented as an unframed canvas. This piece is from a collection of works titled Bright Eye in which Mahorney started to find her artistic voice as a newly established abstract painter.

Erin Mahorney lives and works in Cincinnati, Ohio and studied Marketing and Studio Art at Indiana University. After a career in Sales and Brand Management for Procter & Gamble, she started to pursue painting in 2016. Through her travels and living all over the world Mahorney draws upon these personal experiences as inspiration for her artwork.
