An oil painting on canvas titled Lowland 2 South Carolina by contemporary Cincinnati artist Dennis Puhalla. Created in 1986, this painting depicts a pastel landscape under a large blue sky. To the verso, the piece is signed, titled, and dated on the canvas. An informative label is present to the canvas stretcher. Presented without glass float mounted in an American style wooden frame.
Dennis Puhalla is an artist and professor of Design at the University of Cincinnati, College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP). He received undergraduates and graduates degree in design from the University of Cincinnati and a Ph.D. in Information Design from North Carolina State University. Prior teaching Puhalla served ten years as the Director of the school of Design. Currently, he teaches undergraduate courses in color theory, principles of two and three-dimensional design as well as visual language design and motion design. The use of color theory is seen present within his own artwork which has been exhibited internationally and is housed in private and public corporation.

- some stains are present to the lower portion of the composition; scuffs are present to the frame.
