An etching by Victor Valery (France, 1881-1910). This colorful piece depicts a street scene with a bookseller and vendor in Paris, with a view of the river and Notre Dame in the background. Art is printed on laid paper and signed by the artist in pencil to the lower right. Hand written title to the verso Le long du quais , ‘Along the Quay’ which is likely the Quai d’Orsay, a street on the south side of the banks of the Seine in Paris. Housed under glass in a wooden silver-tone painted frame.
Condition
- spots and marks on the art; frame scratched. Backer was removed and is loose.
