Knox Martin Signed Limited Edition Serigraph on Paper "Flowers 7"

A signed limited edition serigraph on BFK Rives France paper titled Flowers 7, created by listed contemporary artist Knox Martin (b. 1923), created in 1973. This abstract work features an arrangement of colorful flowers surrounded by fragmented planes of various patterns. The composition consists of flat shapes, colors, and delineated outlines, resembling the appearance of a paper collage. The print is signed by hand to the lower right and numbered 85 out of an edition of 125. Handwriting to the verso reads ‘Mar – 73’. The print is not mounted and presented without a frame.
Born in Colombia, Martin is a celebrated painter, sculptor, and muralist. He studied at the Art Students League of New York, and currently lives and works in New York. His work has been collected by countless art institutions including the Museum of Modern Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Corcoran Gallery of Art, to name a few. The Yale Graduate School of Art and New York University are among the schools at which he has taught.
