An oil painting on canvas of a landscape. This Impressionist style painting depicts a lone wooden shack situated near a quiet stream populated with various trees containing stippled leaves in a palette of ochre, yellow, green and red. An illegible artist signature is found to the lower right corner of the composition. The painting is presented in a gold tone wooden frame featuring moulded patterning and a linen inlay liner with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- two areas of paint loss to lower left; stains to linen liner.
