Limited Edition Offset Lithograph "The Signal" After Charles M.

A limited edition offset lithograph on paper of an original watercolor after Charles M. Russell (1864-1926) titled The Signal. This print depicts a Native American on horseback waving a piece of fabric on the cliff of a bridge. The piece is signed in plate and dated 1903 to the lower left corner and the piece is numbered 938 in an edition of 1000 to the lower right corner. Mounted under a single layer of tan matting, the print is mounted under glass in a stained wood frame. A wire for hanging purposes and a white envelope with a letter from the owner of the original watercolor is present to the verso of the frame. Born in St. Louis, Russell is known for his paintings and sculptures of the wild west and Native Americans. Additional information about the artist is available via the link below.
