A handwoven Khamseh pictorial soumak rug in a palette of black, red, gray and cream. The center medallion of the rug has a white Dyrnak-style gul on a red ground. The background is cream colored with a variety of birds, mammals and stylized creatures in red, outlined in gray or black. The rug has an outer unresolved border of black with red geometric designs bordered in white, and there is short cotton bullion fringe on the two ends. It is not marked or labeled.
