Item Details

A pair of English street scene prints after works by Marjorie Bates. The offset lithographs are signed in plate, ‘Marjorie C. Bates’. They are titled in pencil to the lower margin, Pilgrim’s Gate, Gloucester and Close Gate, Salisbury. One is embossed with Reinthal & Newman seal, an early twentieth century American publisher. Prints are presented under glass, double matted in cream and dark green, in wooden frames with black and gilt paint. They have wires to the back ready for hanging.
